The Department of Home Affairs has implemented a policy to assist Ukraine citizens in seeking entry to or continuing to remain in Australia.
We are reliably informed that DHA:
1. Is progressing outstanding visa applications from Ukrainian nationals as a priority across all visa categories;
2. Permitting Close family members to apply on behalf of their family members in Ukraine (not usually permitted).
3. Advising that the PM has announced automatic visa extensions for 6 months for Ukrainian nationals in Australia who have a visa expiring before 30 June 2022.
4. Is not requiring visa holders to do anything to receive this extension. If you are a Ukrainian national visa holder in Australia, you should receive a direct communication from DHA to make arrangements.
