This young client attended a recreational centre and was using equipment with inadequate padding and, as a result, suffered a serious spinal injury. The insurer of the centre denied liability and relied upon a disclaimer signed by our client upon entry. We were able to obtain expert evidence from an experienced engineer to show the system was unsafe, and ultimately the claim was resolved at mediation without having to go to a court hearing. We are very pleased that our client now has his life back on track after a successful rehabilitation, and has been properly compensated for his injuries and losses.
