The Snedden Hall & Gallop University Scholarship turns 21 this year! Since we first awarded the scholarships in 1999, we’ve helped almost 40 aspiring lawyers by providing financial assistance during the first three years of their university studies. Many scholarship winners have also been able to join our team, even if only for a short time.
To commemorate this significant birthday, we’re going through the archives to give you an update on where some of those young stars are now.
In this profile we learn about one of our recent scholarship winners, Harry Williams.

Harry Williams

Where is he now?

Harry is studying a double degree in Law and Politics, Philosophy & Economics at the Australian National University.
When not hitting the books, Harry plays soccer in the Canberra first grade competition for Belconnen United Football Club, and works in both hospitality and unbundled recruitment services. He said that he’s tried to maintain his commitment to social justice by volunteering locally and intends to spend this coming winter teaching in schools in China.

How did he get there?

Harry was a student at Marist College when he won the Snedden Hall & Gallop scholarship in 2017.

What does Harry say?

Harry said that he appreciates the financial aspect of the scholarship, saying, ‘It’s been an enormous help with my studies, and for which I am hugely grateful for. I look forward to work experience and a continued relationship with Snedden Hall & Gallop in the future.’
