We have recently finalised wills for clients who migrated to Australia from the UK. The clients now own property in Australia, and therefore required new Wills to deal with their Australian assets.
At the same time, it was important to avoid the revocation of their UK Wills as they have elaborate assets portfolios in the UK which are dealt with under UK law.
Our Wills Team advised our clients about multijurisdictional assets and devised an effective estate plan that will adequately meet their intentions while complying with the legal requirements of both countries.
