Snedden Hall & Gallop were lucky enough to partner with Cricket ACT and the Australian Cricketers Association to host a special event centred around the Women’s Ashes test Match held at Manuka Oval on Saturday 29 January.
The breakfast event held during the Women’s Ashes drew professional female cricketers and business leaders from across Canberra to discuss the state of the sport in Australia, in particular, the state of professional female sport.
Through the support of Snedden Hall & Gallop, Cricket ACT and the ACA were able to provide the opportunity free of charge to professional female cricketers and leaders within the Canberra business sector as well as other sporting codes across the Territory.
Guests heard from female cricketers with experience in the evolving female elite sports landscape as well as a panel of influential leaders and the stories behind their success.
Snedden Hall & Gallop Managing Director, Richard Faulks, explains why it is so important to the firm to be involved in community organisations such as Cricket ACT.
“Snedden Hall & Gallop strongly supports the role of women in our own business, and more broadly in sporting organisations and the wider community. We are particularly pleased to support Cricket ACT in hosting an event that highlights the importance of leadership roles for women, in conjunction with the Womens’ Ashes test match, where many significant leaders and role models will be featured.
Events like this will help to bring the spotlight onto how all sections of our business community must work to address what has been an inequity in leadership for woman. We are very proud to support such action.”
